Where will Hotel Zena be located?

Located in Logan Circle, at the beginning of Washington, D.C.’s vibrant 14th street corridor and adjacent to the bustling downtown business district, Hotel Zena aims to be an ode to feminine strength. It welcomes all genders, races and sexualities, and aspires to be a haven for the liberated forward thinker.

According to Jon Bortz, President & CEO of the Pebblebrook Hotel Trust, Washington D.C. was deemed the best place for opening the first hotel solely dedicated to female empowerment because of its multiculturalism and female-majority population.

Moreover, Hotel Zena will be located at the nexus of Downtown D.C. and Logan Circle, the city’s most hip neighborhood, with vibrant music venues, funky galleries, and trendy boutiques.

Empowerment by design

Hotel Zena will have 191 rooms and a cocktail-led lobby bar, offering small plates and seasonal snacks, while hotel guests will also have access to a 14th-floor rooftop pool and adjacent private event space, offering dynamic views of Washington D.C.’s skyline.

Throughout the hotel’s premises, there will be immersive art pieces and thought-provoking design elements, which will pay homage to prominent female figures. Among them, an extraordinary mural of Ruth Bader Ginsburg and a 50-foot winding pyrometric serpent (Note: serpents have often represented femininity in many ancient mythologies and folklore).

The hotel’s vibe throughout public spaces is rebellious and defiant, yet playful. Meanwhile, elegant guest rooms and suites offer a warm, nurturing and peaceful ambiance. Strength and femininity in harmonious coexistence.

“Clever and sophisticated, Hotel Zena portrays the ethos of feminine strength with mischievous art installations and cheeky design details”

Andrea Dawson Sheehan, art director and principle, Dawson Design Associates

Dawson Design Associates, the same interior design award-winning firm that brought Hotel Zetta, Hotel Zelos and Hotel Zeppelin to life, are behind the creation of an atmosphere of strength and femininity at Hotel Zena.

In addition, the lounge space will host a rotating series of community engagements for the culturally curious, from salon-style gatherings to live music by local artists.
